Quick answer
What is the best contact center software for a bank? One that runs card and account queues, an IVR that can look the caller up in your own systems, callbacks, recording that pauses during card details with retention and legal hold, QA on every call, and outbound reminders under DNC, consent and calling-hour rules. DialerBee does all of this from $69 per agent per month, with an optional AI voice agent for routine calls that hands anything sensitive to a person.
Why banks are different
What makes a bank contact center different from any other?
The calls look ordinary: a card that does not work, a question about a fee, a request for a statement, a reminder about a payment. What is different is the weight behind each one. A caller may read out a card number. A complaint may end up in front of a regulator. A collections call has to respect calling hours and consent in each country you call. And your risk team will ask exactly who can hear a recording, for how long.
So a bank contact center needs four things that a general help desk can skip: knowing who is calling before an agent picks up, controlled recordings (pause, retention, legal hold, signed access), rules applied before an outbound number is dialled, and a hard line between what automation may handle and what must go to a person.
DialerBee runs inbound service and outbound campaigns on one platform: one agent desktop, one wallboard, one recording and compliance model. If you only need outbound campaigns such as payment reminders, KYC follow-up and fraud callbacks, the banking dialer page covers that. This page is about the whole contact center.
Requirements
What should a bank check in contact center software?
Twelve requirements, the test that exposes a weak answer in a demo, and what DialerBee has today. Use the middle column with every vendor on your shortlist.
| Bank requirement | What to check in a demo | In DialerBee |
|---|---|---|
| Know who is calling before an agent answers | Can the IVR look the caller up in your own systems, and can a routing decision use your data? Where does identity verification happen, and who owns that policy? | The IVR builder has a CRM lookup node that pulls the caller's record into the flow, and an HTTP node that calls your own service with service authentication, so a branch can rest on what your systems return. All 40 node types are on Professional; Starter has basic flows. Your verification policy stays yours. IVR builder → |
| Separate card, account and lending queues | Can each queue have its own priority, wait limit, SLA target and recording mode? Can a lost-card queue be served before a general enquiry queue? | ACD queues route by FIFO, round-robin or longest-idle, with skills-based routing per queue. Each queue carries its own priority, max wait, wrap-up time, SLA target and threshold, and recording mode. Inbound contact center → |
| Callbacks instead of long holds | Can a caller ask for a callback and keep their place? Do they hear their position and expected wait? | Callers can request a callback and keep their place in the queue, hear their queue position and estimated wait, choose a language, or move to WhatsApp instead of holding. Queues and callbacks → |
| Card details on a recorded line | What happens to the recording while a customer reads out a card number? Are keypad digits visible to the agent or in logs? | Recording pauses while a caller gives card details, and keypad digits are hidden. How you take card payments by phone, and the card-industry rules that apply to it, remain your responsibility. Call recording → |
| Recording retention, legal hold and access | How long are recordings kept on the plan you are quoted? Can a recording under dispute be held past retention? How is playback shared? | Retention of 30 days (Starter), 90 days (Professional) or 1 year (Enterprise), configurable per tenant. Recordings on legal hold are excluded from retention-based deletion. Playback uses signed links that expire after one hour. Recording and legal hold → |
| Quality review of every call | Is QA a sample or every call? Can reviewers score against your own scorecard with the recording inline? | AI scoring of every call, plus QA scorecards with inline playback (Professional and Enterprise). QA scorecards → |
| Supervision on a live floor | Can a supervisor listen, whisper and barge on a live call? Can each supervisor see only their own teams? | Live wallboard, listen, whisper and barge (listen only on Starter), force logout, coaching rules, custom roles and team-scoped supervisors. Supervisor tools → |
| Collections and payment reminders under calling rules | Try to dial a number on your do-not-call list in the demo. What blocks it, and where is the decision logged? | Compliance-supporting controls applied at the dial: DNC checks, consent with revoke, calling hours per jurisdiction and time zone, frequency limits and CLI ownership, with jurisdiction packs for UAE TDRA, KSA CST, Jordan TRC and Bahrain TRA, and append-only audit logs. Compliance engine → |
| Security your risk team will review | Ask which controls are implemented today and which are planned, in writing. | TLS 1.2+ in transit and AES-256 at rest, PostgreSQL row-level tenant isolation, single sign-on (OIDC, SAML) with SCIM, two-factor sign-in, IP allow-list and idle timeout. SOC 2 Type II and an external penetration test are planned, not held. Trust center → |
| Customers in more than one language | Place a test call in your customers' language or dialect and listen to it, not just the transcript. | The platform works in 11 languages, with Arabic handled as dialects, including Gulf, Levantine and Egyptian. Live transcription, assist and translation let an agent follow a caller in another language (Professional and Enterprise). Live agent assist → |
| Keep your PBX and carrier | Can the bank keep its existing PBX or SBC and carrier contracts? Is there a per-minute platform fee on your own trunk? | Keep your PBX or SBC (Asterisk, 3CX, Cisco CUCM, Avaya or another standards-based system), with voice staying on your infrastructure, or bring your own SIP trunk. No per-minute platform fee on either. Deployment options → |
| Availability commitments | Is the uptime SLA in the contract, and on which plan? | A 99.95% uptime SLA on Enterprise. Media runs on two nodes with agent failover, and carrier routes fail over automatically. Platform reliability → |
Plan differences are on pricing. Controls are compliance-supporting: DialerBee does not provide legal advice or guarantee regulatory compliance, and each bank remains responsible for its own obligations.
Inbound service
How should a bank route card and account calls?
Start with the number the customer dialled and what your systems already know about them. In DialerBee each inbound number in the DID inventory points at a queue, a named user, an IVR flow, a campaign or an AI voice agent. Most banks point the main service number at an IVR flow.
Inside the flow, a CRM lookup node brings the caller's record into the call, and an HTTP node with service authentication calls your own service. The branch after it can rest on what your systems return: send a premium customer to a priority queue, send a caller with a card flagged on your side straight to the cards team, or offer a language choice first. Sub-flows let you build the identification and language steps once and reuse them across every number.
Then the queue. A typical layout is a lost and stolen cards queue at the highest priority with a short max wait, a cards and payments queue, an accounts queue and a lending queue, each with its own SLA target, wrap-up time and recording mode, and skills-based routing where agents specialise. When the wait is long, callers can request a callback and keep their place, hear their position and estimated wait, or move to WhatsApp. After hours, they hear your own message in the voice you chose and an SMS fallback template goes out.
Customers who write instead of calling land in the same omnichannel inbox: WhatsApp, SMS, email, web chat and Telegram, with built-in ticketing, on Professional and Enterprise. See the inbound contact center, the IVR builder and the omnichannel inbox.
AI voice agent
Which bank calls can an AI voice agent take, and which must go to a person?
Give the AI the calls where a wrong answer is cheap and a fast answer helps. Keep everything that touches a customer's money, data or wellbeing with your people.
Good fits for the AI voice agent
- Branch and contact-centre opening hours, and where to go for what
- General product questions answered from documents you publish and upload
- Booking, moving or cancelling a branch or advisor appointment, after a free-busy check on the connected calendar
- Payment and document reminders placed as an outbound AI campaign
- Taking a callback request for your team when the queue is long or you are closed
Hand to a person, every time
- Balances, transactions or anything that needs the customer's account data
- Suspected fraud, lost or stolen cards, and disputed payments
- Complaints, hardship conversations and anything emotionally sensitive
- Advice about financial products, lending decisions or investments
- Anything your own policy says a person must handle
DialerBee's AI voice agent, Layla, answers from a knowledge base you upload, and hands off to a human agent as a designed branch of the conversation, not a failure state. Every candidate sentence passes guardrails before it is spoken, and an action such as a booking must return a confirmed status before the agent says it is done. Supervisors can stop one agent, one campaign or all AI calling with kill switches, listen live and take over a call.
Design it narrowly for a bank. Load only published material into the knowledge base, and make "anything about my account" a handoff trigger. We do not describe the AI voice agent as reading account records to callers, and you should not deploy it that way. After each AI call, the recording, transcript and outcome are pushed to your CRM, so the customer history stays in one place.
AI features are off until each company switches them on, and customer call data is not used to train shared models by default. More on the split in AI or human: which calls to automate and AI voice agent human handoff, or see AI agents and the AI voice agent.
Questions and a callback

The same pattern, an FAQ answered and a callback taken, or a reminder moved to a new time, is what a bank would give the agent. Read the transcripts. In Arabic: Arabic AI voice agent.
Recording and quality
How should a bank handle call recording and QA?
Record by default, pause for card details. DialerBee records inbound and outbound calls automatically. When a caller gives card details, recording pauses and keypad digits are hidden. That is a control that supports your card-data rules; it is not a PCI DSS certification, and your payment flow and assessor decide what else you need.
Keep recordings as long as your rules say, and no longer. Retention is 30 days on Starter, 90 days on Professional and 1 year on Enterprise, configurable per tenant. A recording tied to a complaint or a dispute can be put on legal hold, which excludes it from retention-based deletion. Recordings are never served from raw paths: playback uses signed links that expire after one hour.
Review every call, not a sample. AI scoring covers every call, and QA scorecards let reviewers score against your own criteria with the recording inline. Supervisors watch the wallboard, listen, whisper to the agent and barge in on Professional and Enterprise, and team-scoped supervisors see only their own teams. Administrative actions and compliance decisions go into append-only audit logs.
See call recording, QA scorecards and supervisor tools.
Outbound
Can the same platform run collections and payment reminders?
Yes. The same agents work inbound queues and outbound campaigns from one desktop, and automatic blending can move them between the two as traffic changes, if your admin switches it on. Outbound runs in preview, power, progressive and predictive modes (Starter has preview and power), and numbers shown on outbound calls can receive calls back, so a customer returning a reminder reaches your team.
Every configured outbound call passes compliance-supporting checks before it is dialled: DNC lists, consent with revoke, calling hours per jurisdiction and time zone, frequency limits and caller-ID ownership. Jurisdiction packs cover UAE TDRA, KSA CST, Jordan TRC and Bahrain TRA, and configured default-deny policies block a call when a check fails or the compliance service cannot be reached. Decisions are written to append-only audit logs.
Go deeper on collections, the banking dialer, the financial services dialer and the financial services outbound calling guide. For how this fits together at a larger bank, there is an illustrative MENA banking scenario (a representative scenario of about 90 agents, not a specific customer).
Security and telephony
What will your security and network teams ask?
Implemented today
TLS 1.2+ in transit and AES-256 at rest. PostgreSQL row-level security, enabled and forced, on tenant tables. Append-only audit logs. Signed recording links. Single sign-on through OIDC or SAML with SCIM, two-factor sign-in, an IP allow-list and idle timeout. Custom roles.
Planned, not held
SOC 2 Type II and an independent external penetration test. If your procurement requires either before signing, say so early. The security overview, DPA and subprocessor list are available for review.
Keep your PBX and carrier
Keep your PBX or SBC, such as Cisco CUCM, Avaya, Asterisk or 3CX, with voice staying on your infrastructure, or bring your own SIP trunk. No per-minute platform fee on either. Or DialerBee supplies numbers and trunks through sales.

Worked examples
How much does bank contact center software cost?
DialerBee is priced per agent, with no per-minute platform fees. Two example months at published prices, every input shown. Carrier minutes are billed by your carrier and taxes are excluded.
30-seat card and account service center
Thirty agents on inbound queues with QA and full supervision, so Professional. The AI voice agent takes 2,000 routine calls a month (hours, general questions, appointment changes) at 2 minutes each.
| Professional: 30 × $129 | $3,870 |
| AI: 2,000 × 2 = 4,000 min × $0.60 | $2,400 |
| Platform minute fees | $0 |
| Monthly total | $6,270 |
| Seats billed annually (20% less): $3,096 + $2,400 | $5,496 |
Payment-reminder desk
The AI places 4,000 reminder calls a month at 2 minutes each, under your calling rules; five Professional agents take the callbacks and anything the AI hands off.
| Professional: 5 × $129 | $645 |
| AI: 4,000 × 2 = 8,000 min × $0.60 | $4,800 |
| Monthly total | $5,445 |
Which plan? Starter ($69 per agent per month, up to 20 agents) has inbound queues, basic IVR flows, preview and power dialing, 30-day recording retention and listen-only supervision, but no QA scorecards and no AI voice agent. Most banks need Professional ($129, up to 100 agents). Enterprise is custom and adds 1-year recording retention, custom compliance rules, the operations center and the 99.95% uptime SLA.
Examples, not quotes. AI minutes are billed per started connected minute on managed AI; with your own model keys a flat monthly fee replaces the per-minute rate. Size the team with the Erlang C calculator and see every plan on pricing.
Honest fit
When is DialerBee the wrong choice for a bank?
It fits banks and finance companies that run service and outbound together, want to keep their own PBX or carrier, or serve customers in several languages. Choose something else if any of these is a must-have.
Procurement needs a SOC 2 Type II report today
It is planned, not held, and so is the external penetration test. If you must have the report before signing, wait or choose a vendor that holds it.
You want a vendor to take card payments for you
DialerBee pauses recording during card details and hides keypad digits. It does not claim PCI DSS compliance or certification, and it is not a payment processor. Take that question to your payments provider and your assessor.
You want the AI to read account data to callers
The AI voice agent answers from documents you upload and hands off to a person. It is not offered here as a way to tell customers balances or transactions.
The platform itself must be installed on your servers
DialerBee is hosted. You can keep your own PBX and carrier, and voice can stay on your infrastructure, but the platform is not an on-premises install.
You need a core banking or CRM replacement
DialerBee connects to your CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, Pipedrive, Zendesk, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo, Freshworks) and to your own services through the HTTP node. It does not replace them.
You need several AI voices, or a male AI voice
The AI voice agent speaks with one voice, Layla (female). Human agents are not affected.
Getting started
How should a bank pilot new contact center software?
- 1
Pick one queue and one campaign
For example the general card enquiries queue and a payment-reminder list. Leave lost-card and fraud lines on your current system until the pilot is proven.
- 2
Connect your own trunk or PBX
So numbers and carrier contracts stay where they are, and moving back is a routing change.
- 3
Write the handoff rules before switching on AI
List the topics the AI voice agent must hand to a person, then test them by asking for exactly those things on test calls.
- 4
Put your calling rules in first
DNC lists, consent sources, calling hours and frequency limits, then try to dial a blocked number and find the decision in the audit log.
- 5
Have risk review recordings and access
Check the pause during card details, the retention period on your plan, legal hold and who can play what.
- 6
Compare against a baseline
Answer times, abandon rate and callbacks completed, from last month on the old system, every week of the pilot.
