Quick answer
Telemarketing software dials contact lists for your agents and manages everything around the call: list hygiene, scripts, recording, follow-up and reporting. Good telemarketing software also enforces the rules at the dial. DialerBee checks the DNC list, consent, calling hours per jurisdiction, frequency limits and caller-ID ownership before each call, with abandon-rate guardrails on predictive campaigns. Starter is $69 per agent per month; Professional is $129. Carrier minutes are billed by your carrier.
Buyer's table
What should telemarketing software enforce?
Most telemarketing complaints come from the same handful of failures: a number that should have been suppressed, a call at the wrong hour, the fifth call in a week, a caller answering to silence, or a number nobody recognises. Here is what to check in any vendor, and what DialerBee does.
| Telemarketing requirement | What to check in any vendor | DialerBee |
|---|---|---|
| Do-not-call suppression | Is the DNC list checked only at upload, or again at the moment of each dial? Can you search it? | DNC import and search, a scrub on import, and a per-call check against the current list, so a number added this morning is caught this afternoon. More → |
| Consent before the call | Is consent a record with a history, or a column in a spreadsheet? What happens when someone withdraws it? | Consent records you can create, update and revoke; the revocation is an event, not a deleted row. Under the UAE TDRA pack consent expires after two years at most. More → |
| Calling hours | Is the window set per campaign, or per jurisdiction of the number being called? Whose time zone counts? | Calling windows per jurisdiction. For US calling, the time zone follows the number, so the window is the recipient's local time. More → |
| Contact frequency | Is there a limit on how often the same person can be attempted, and does the dialer enforce it? | A frequency rule checked before the attempt, plus maximum attempts and a retry delay per list. More → |
| Caller ID you are entitled to show | Can another customer of the same vendor present your number? Is ownership verified? | CLI exclusive ownership per tenant and CLI ownership verification, with STIR/SHAKEN attestation where available. More → |
| Local presence used responsibly | Are numbers grouped into pools mapped to campaigns? Can you pull a number out of rotation yourself? | Named caller-ID pools with local presence, round-robin, sequential and random selection, mapped per campaign; activate or deactivate any number at any time. More → |
| Abandoned calls | Can a supervisor set an abandon-rate ceiling and min/max lines per agent? Is there a mode that never dials ahead? | Abandon-rate ceiling per predictive campaign, min/max lines per agent, and preview, power and progressive modes that hold one call per agent. More → |
| Exceptions on the record | When someone overrides a rule, is that written down where an auditor can see it? | Overrides recorded with an audit trail, and append-only audit logging. More → |
| Evidence of what was said | Are all calls recorded? Can you set retention, hold a recording for a dispute and export it? | Automatic recording of every call, retention per campaign and tenant, legal hold, and bulk export with a CSV manifest. Recording pauses while a caller gives card details. More → |
Why "at the dial" matters. A rule checked when a list is uploaded is a rule about a spreadsheet. People opt out, withdraw consent and move time zones after your list was loaded. DialerBee runs its checks per call, and if a configured check fails, the call is not placed and the reason is logged. Jurisdiction packs ship for UAE TDRA, KSA CST, Jordan TRC and Bahrain TRA. The full rule set is on the compliance engine page.
The rules, in numbers
What do telemarketing rules actually require?
Rules differ by country, so there is no single checklist. The United States is a useful example because its rules are specific and published in full. From the federal regulations (checked October 2026):
- Calling hours. No telephone solicitation to a residential subscriber "before the hour of 8 a.m. or after 9 p.m. (local time at the called party's location)". Source: 47 CFR 64.1200(c)(1). The FTC's Telemarketing Sales Rule sets the same 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. window (16 CFR 310.4(c)).
- Company do-not-call requests. Must be honoured within 10 business days and kept for 5 years from the request (47 CFR 64.1200(d)).
- Abandoned calls. The TSR safe harbour requires abandoning no more than 3% of calls answered by a person, measured per campaign or per 30-day period; letting unanswered calls ring for at least 15 seconds or four rings; playing a recorded message if no representative is available within 2 seconds of the person's greeting; and keeping records that show all of this (16 CFR 310.4(b)(4)).
Each of those maps to a software setting: a calling window that follows the recipient's time zone, a DNC list checked at the dial, and an abandon-rate ceiling with records you can export. You can test a US window on the TCPA calling-hours checker, and see how ready your lists are with the DNC and consent readiness checklist.

Pacing
Which telemarketing dialer mode keeps abandoned calls down?
Only predictive dialing dials ahead of free agents, so only predictive can leave a person answering to silence. DialerBee's preview, power and progressive modes each hold one call per agent. Predictive recalculates lines per agent inside supervisor bounds, with a minimum and maximum lines per agent and an abandon-rate ceiling per campaign.
A practical rule for telemarketing floors: run power or progressive until you have about 20 agents on one large list, then consider predictive with the ceiling set before the first dial. Estimate the risk with the abandon-rate estimator. The mode-by-mode comparison is on auto dialer software.
Preview and power are on Starter; progressive and predictive need Professional. The mode is a per-campaign setting, so a telesales pod on power and a lead-generation pod on predictive can share one floor.
On the call and after it
How do scripts, recording and QA work in telemarketing software?
The rules decide whether a call happens. What the agent says, and whether you can prove it, decides the rest.
Scripts in the agent desktop
The script sits beside the call and fills its variables from the record. Scripts can branch on the customer's answers, for calls and chats. Required disclosures go in the script, not in an agent's memory.
Agent desktop →Call recording
Every call recorded automatically, searchable by agent, campaign, disposition and number. Retention per campaign and tenant, legal hold for disputes, and bulk export with a CSV manifest.
Call recording →QA scoring
Scorecards per campaign with weighted sections, so a disclosure can weigh more than a closing line. Auto-flag rules, calibration, coaching notes and the transcript beside the audio. Professional and Enterprise.
QA scorecards →Reporting
Standard reports on Starter; all 15 reports plus Insights on Professional, with a wallboard and CSV, Excel and PDF export. Supervisors listen on Starter, and listen, whisper and barge on Professional.

Beyond the call
Can telemarketing software follow up by SMS and WhatsApp?
Yes, on Professional and Enterprise. Agents follow up from a template library, SMS goes out under your own sender IDs, and each tenant connects its own WhatsApp Business configuration. Replies land in the same conversation list as calls and email. SMS replies of STOP and START update the contact's SMS consent automatically, so an opt-out by text does not depend on an agent noticing it.
Before you rely on any vendor's follow-up, ask how an opt-out given on one channel is handled on the others. Your policy may treat a text opt-out as a request to stop calling too; make sure your setup does what your policy says. More in WhatsApp and SMS follow-up for outbound teams and on WhatsApp and SMS.
Does it connect to my CRM?
Every plan includes a CRM iframe in the agent desktop. DialerBee has connectors for HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho, Pipedrive, Zendesk and Microsoft Dynamics (using your own CRM app credentials) and for Odoo and Freshworks (using your own API key), plus a CRM webhook and a REST API. Dispositions are cards with hotkeys, and a callback is scheduled from the same panel. See integrations.
Pricing
How much does telemarketing software cost for 20 agents?
DialerBee is priced per agent seat, with no per-minute platform fee. Seats are at published prices. The carrier lines assume 3 hours of connected talk per agent per day over 22 working days, at two illustrative carrier rates; your carrier's rate card replaces them. Taxes excluded.
20 seats on Starter
Preview and power dialing, basic AMD, standard reports, 30-day recording retention. No WhatsApp/SMS follow-up or QA scorecards.
| 20 seats × $69 | $1,380 |
| Same seats on annual billing (20% off) | $1,104 |
| Connected talk: 20 agents × 3 h × 22 days | 79,200 min |
| Carrier at an illustrative $0.01 / $0.02 per min | $792 / $1,584 |
$2,172 – $2,964 a month on monthly billing
20 seats on Professional
All four modes, AI AMD, WhatsApp and SMS follow-up, QA scorecards, live assist and transcription, 90-day retention.
| 20 seats × $129 | $2,580 |
| Same seats on annual billing (20% off) | $2,064 |
| Connected talk: 20 agents × 3 h × 22 days | 79,200 min |
| Carrier at an illustrative $0.01 / $0.02 per min | $792 / $1,584 |
$3,372 – $4,164 a month on monthly billing
Where the line falls. Starter stops at 20 agents, so the 21st seat means Professional. A telemarketing floor that needs SMS or WhatsApp follow-up, QA scorecards or predictive pacing needs Professional at any size. The difference for 20 seats is $1,200 a month on monthly billing ($2,580 − $1,380).
Adding AI calls. On Professional, the AI voice agent can run outbound campaigns such as reminders and confirmations at $0.60 per started connected minute on managed AI. 1,000 two-minute calls would add 2,000 minutes × $0.60 = $1,200. With your own model keys, a flat monthly fee replaces the per-minute rate. See the AI dialer and the AI voice agent; the same agent can also answer inbound as an AI receptionist.
Evaluating
How do I test a telemarketing system before buying?
A demo that only shows calls going out proves little. Ask the vendor to show calls being stopped. Run these six tests live, on your own data, and hold us to them too.
- 1
Dial a number on your DNC list
Add it to the list after the campaign is loaded. The call should not be placed, and the reason should be logged.
- 2
Dial outside the calling window
Pick a number whose local time is outside your window, even though it is inside yours. The call should wait.
- 3
Revoke a consent mid-campaign
Revoke one contact's consent while the campaign runs. The next attempt should be blocked, and the revocation should still be visible afterwards.
- 4
Exceed the frequency limit
Set a low limit and retry the same contact. The extra attempt should be refused.
- 5
Present a number you do not own
Try to assign a caller ID that is not yours to a campaign. It should be refused.
- 6
Reply STOP to a follow-up SMS
Check that the contact's SMS consent changes without anyone touching it, then find the record of it.
After each test, export the log. If a blocked call leaves no record, you cannot show anyone later that the rule worked.
Is DialerBee the right telemarketing call center software for us?
It is a good fit if you call several countries or time zones from one floor, need consent and DNC handled per call rather than per upload, want recording and QA on the same platform as the dialer, or want to keep your own carrier or PBX. It runs in 11 languages, including Arabic with right-to-left rendering.
It may be more than you need if you are one or two reps calling existing customers from a CRM. Built-in CRM calling can be enough at that size.
Plan for some setup if you want DialerBee to supply your numbers, or have complex SIP or compliance needs. Simple teams can start calling soon after sign-up; those setups may need guided onboarding. Custom compliance rules are an Enterprise feature.
